How values work
How our values work

Sources. Market values come from FantasyCalc, built from real trades made in thousands of fantasy leagues. Ranking values come from DynastyProcess, built from expert consensus rankings. Player info and headshots come from Sleeper.

Normalization. Each source is scaled so its most valuable asset is worth 10,000. Players are matched across sources by Sleeper ID, or by name, position and team.

Consensus. The default value is a weighted average: 60% market, 40% rankings. If only one source covers a player, that source is used. Redraft values use market data only.

Your league settings. Market values are fetched for your exact QB format, league size and PPR. TE premium boosts tight ends, and rookie picks adjust for league size.

Value adjustment. Roster spots are limited, so two average players are worth less than one star with the same total. We compute each side as (Σ value^1.4)^(1/1.4), which rewards concentrated value, and blend it 70% with the plain sum. The difference is shown as the value adjustment.

Freshness. Data refreshes automatically every few hours. If a source is temporarily unavailable we keep serving the last good values and the badge shows their real age.

Frequently asked questions

What is a dynasty trade calculator?

A dynasty trade calculator compares the long-term value of the players and draft picks on each side of a fantasy football trade. Because dynasty rosters carry over from year to year, it weighs age and future production, not just this season. Add the assets each team sends and the calculator tells you whether the deal is fair.

How are trade values calculated?

We blend market values from FantasyCalc, which are based on real trades made in fantasy leagues, with expert consensus rankings from DynastyProcess. Each source is scaled to a 0–10,000 range, matched player by player and averaged into one consensus value (60% market, 40% rankings). Values then adjust for your QB format, league size, scoring and TE premium.

What is Superflex and why does it change values?

Superflex adds a lineup spot that can hold a quarterback, so most teams start two QBs. Because quarterbacks score the most points and good ones are scarce, their trade value rises sharply in Superflex leagues. Switch between 1QB and Superflex in League settings to see the difference.

How are rookie draft picks valued?

Picks are valued by year, round and projected slot (early, mid or late) for the next three rookie drafts. Market data reflects what managers actually pay for picks in real trades, while expert pick rankings are converted to values on the same scale as players. Picks further in the future are discounted slightly when a source has no direct data for them.

What is the value adjustment for 2-for-1 trades?

In dynasty, two average players are usually worth less than one star, because roster and lineup spots are limited. The calculator credits a value adjustment to the side receiving the more concentrated value, so a team cannot win a trade on quantity alone. The adjustment is shown in the result so you can see exactly how it affected the verdict.
